I’ve updated the Coniston page with details of the different versions that existed, Series I, Series II and R. All were subtle different and are testament to Joe striving for perfection. I still have little info the first release of these, so if anyone has anything, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Just uploaded a review of the Sapphire’s, from Hi-Fi World, June 1992. This is from a round of up various speakers at the £200 price point and refers to the first version of this speaker (I presume as it mentions them being just single wired).
Added a review of The Herald, from What Hi-Fi? April 1997. Just a short review, but does shed some light on this less common model.
You can now find a review of the Royd Edens’ from Hi-Fi News, Nov 1989. Perhaps not the most flattering, but a worthy read nonetheless. Plenty of useful stats and measurement graphs.

You can now find another review of the Royd Sorcerers, from What Hi-Fi? July 1998. It features the Sorcerers in a group test of eight other competing speakers of the day.

I’ve added a review of the Royd Sorcerers, from Hi-Fi Choice magazine from Feb 1995. Gives a positive account of these near field monitors that featured high up the Royd range.
I have added some nice photos of a pair of Coniston R’s. Thanks to Martin ‘joydivider’ for these, who them speakers for next to nothing in a pawn shop!
