The International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is observed on May 17 each year and aims to coordinate International events that raise awareness of LGBT2Q+ rights violations and stimulate interest in LGBT2Q+ rights work worldwide.

The founders of the International Day Against Homophobia, as it was originally known, established the IDAHO Committee to coordinate grass-roots actions in different countries, to promote the day and to lobby for official recognition on May 17. That date was chosen to commemorate the decision to remove homosexuality from the International Classification of Diseases of the World Health Organization (WHO) in 1990.

PFLAG London & Pride London Festival invite you to an evening of celebration and acceptance on Thursday, May 17th at The Aeolian. This event will bring guests together to celebrate as a London community and commit to working together to continue addressing homophobia, transphobia and biphobia.

Our celebration will include live performances from local LGBT2Q+ artists and our allies.

This event is family friendly and free for everyone to attend. Join us as we celebrate and move towards a London that is welcoming and inclusive to all.

It’s April, it’s Poetry Month, and it’s our FINAL SLAM!

Ten top slammers from our 2018-19 slam season battle it out and leave it all on stage in an attempt to win their way onto the 2019 London Poetry Slam team. Five lucky poets will be named to the team and travel to the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word, a national slam competition, happening this year in Guelph in October.

We’ll also be featuring poet Mahlikah Awe:ri Enml’ga’t Saqama’sgw! Don’t miss our biggest show of the year!

Pride Celebration Chorus debuted last year for Pride London Festival 2018. Comprised of members of Pride Men’s Chorus London and interested singers of all genders who wanted to be a part of the celebration of Pride, PCC was a resounding success. The choir returns this year for the Pride London 2019 festivities, with around 80 participants.

The concert will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots by providing the audience with a vast array of songs of celebration. Songs which inspire the LGBTQ community and our allies, songs that define the history of the movement, songs that celebrate the world around us, and songs that we like to sing simply because they lift our spirits.

The concert will be presented twice: Thursday, July 25 and Friday, July 26. You won’t want to miss this exciting and inspirational musical experience.

As part of this year's Pride London Festival, we present A PRIDE CELEBRATION, performed by the well-established Pride Men's Chorus London who will be joined by an all gender choir specifically formed for this concert, Pride Celebration Chorus. The first half of the concert will be solely performed by PMCL, singing songs from the world of pop, rock, world music, and musical theatre. The second half of the concert will be performed by the Pride Celebration Chorus singing songs that reflect the values of Pride: understanding, inclusion, community, and, well, pride. We hope to take you through a roller coaster of emotions, celebrating the victories of the LGBT2Q+ communities and its allies, and recognizing the fights we still have ahead of us. You won't want to miss this evening of fascinating entertainment!

Join Pride Men's Chorus London for a fun-filled and emotionally charged evening featuring some of the best selections in musical theatre. From traditional show tune classics right up to current Broadway productions, you will leave after this concert filled with music in your ears. This concert will also feature a guest appearance by one of London's finest musical groups: the Broadway Singers; there will be over 75 voices on stage. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity!

The core group of the Rebelheart Collective consists of highly trained professional musicians. The group is flexible in size depending on the project. Other members include high-level student and graduates who want to work on building careers as a professional orchestral musician and community activist. They combine classical repertoire with new music, engaging with composers and collaborators from varied backgrounds.

Come for a fun-filled hilarious evening of entertainment AND support Camp Wendake while you’re doing it. Camp Wendake is a week-long, non-profit, residential camp for people living with HIV, their care-givers, loved ones, and traditional/non-traditional families. The event will begin with a cash bar and free hors d’oeuvres followed by London-based improv group Shut the Front Door, hitting the stage at 7:45.
