Sorry! Comedy Fest: Casey Rocket

Casey Rocket is an Austin-based comedian risen from the ashes of the speed freaks who came before him.

A southern belle by nature, Rocket’s comedy career began in the pool halls of South Georgia before his riff-flowers blossomed in the fertile soil of the Atlanta comedy scene.

Since moving to Texas in 2021, The Crab Man went from living in his Ford Escape to winning the inaugural Austin Comedy Competition. After his stinky little victory, Daft Rocket (as no one calls him) successfully auditioned to join the first class of Door Guys at Joe Rogan’s Comedy Mothership, where he performed alongside some of the biggest names in comedy. In early 2024, Rocket was named as the newest regular on Kill Tony.

Over the eons, Daft Rocket has brought his unique brand of comedy to SXSW, Skankfest Vegas, the Boston Comedy Festival, Aloha Comedy Festival, and many more.

 Jiaoying Summers

Jiaoying Summers recently released her Hulu comedy special What Specie Are You? Named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch” (2025), Summers shines in her debut stand-up hour as she explores what divides us, what unites us, and what belonging truly means. Drawing from her life as a first-generation immigrant, she turns cultural clashes, identity, and motherhood into razor-sharp comedy that resonates across continents.

An award-winning performer and inductee of the Asian Hall of Fame, Jiaoying is emerging as one of the most influential Asian voices in comedy. She made history as the first Chinese comedian to headline and sell out the Apollo Theater in New York City. With more than 1 billion views across social media and over 5 million followers, she is a digital powerhouse known for viral hits like her “Uber Karen” sketch and her comedic breakdowns of English names from a Chinese perspective.

Beyond the stage, Jiaoying is the creator and host of the hit podcast Tiger Mom, where she interviews comedians, artists, and cultural figures in intimate, unfiltered conversations. She is also a successful entrepreneur: the former Miss China now owns and operates The Hollywood Comedy and The Green Room Comedy Café, creating platforms for diverse and underrepresented comedic talent.

Jiaoying Summers delivers fearless, modern commentary on identity, race, and gender to audiences worldwide, making her one of the boldest, most dynamic, and unmissable comedians working today.

Shantero Productions presents: DEREK EDWARDS - Oxy Moron

Every few millennia, a comic emerges, born from the cosmic soup of fate and time, jostled by the gales of change onto the unpredictable shores of comedic brilliance. This is a man who embodies pluck and wit, lighthearted yet encumbered, and a naivete that somehow remains endearing.  As Derek says:  In the grand contest of life, he stands proudly as a bona fide "participant."

Well ... truth be told, there’s a lot more to it than that.  From Vegas to St. John's, this Just For Laughs veteran is universally considered to be among the comic elite. Certainly his peers think so, as evidenced by the fact that he's a four-time nominee, and winner of Best Standup Comic - Canadian Comedy Awards, as well as a multiple Gemini nominee for Best Performance in a Comedy. As Rick Mercer says, "Everyone knows Derek is the funniest man in Canada."

Clearly the critics agree: "5 STARS - the funniest man on earth" - Winnipeg Free Press; "4 STARS - the crowd howled" - Victoria Times Colonist; "still the funniest man in Canada" - Toronto Sun; "Edwards reigns as the King of Canadian comedy" - Charlottetown Guardian; "Derek Edwards is hysterical" - Calgary Sun; "Edwards takes stand-up to next stage" - Georgia Straight; "the epitome of timing & storytelling" - Halifax Chronicle Herald; "the comedian's comedian" - London Free Press.

So come on out and join Derek for his latest show, Oxy Moron....Part Two, as it makes its way across Canada. Expect a night of perceptive guesswork and charmingly misguided jabs from a cherished performer. Enjoy some hearty laughs, a sprinkling of wisdom, and the pleasure of mingling with fellow humans. It's a triple win!

The Comic Strippers

The Comic Strippers are a fictitious male stripper troupe, played by a cast of some of Canada’s best improvisational comedians. These guys try to be sexy… it just comes out funny. Constantly grooving and gyrating, in between scenes they banter with the crowd and perform their sexylarious twist on improv sketches. They sing, they “dance;” these guys are oiled up and ready to make you laugh. Women often say the most attractive thing about a man is his sense of humour - so ladies, these stripped-down comedians are sure to make your head explode. And not to worry, gentlemen, this is definitely a parody of male strippers. “A show suitable for both men and women… an entertaining ride where anything goes.” - Rip It Up Magazine

Semi-undressed and completely unscripted, The Comic Strippers take off their shirts and take on your suggestions to create a whole new genre of comedy.

WARNING: No extreme nudity, just extreme hilarity. A show for all genders… 19+ only

Josh Thomas

After premiering the show at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and touring across Australia’s biggest comedy festivals—including Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth—Josh Thomas is taking Jiggle, Jiggle on the road for international audiences. Josh began performing stand-up comedy 20 years ago and quickly became a mainstay of the Australian comedy scene. Over the years, he has built a devoted global following—while also losing three celebrity cooking shows, failing spectacularly at Celebrity Splash and Taskmaster, and (arguably) curing Bob Katter’s homophobia. Among many other achievements.

He is the creator and star of the critically acclaimed television series Please Like Me and Everything’s Gonna Be Okay, both of which became international sensations praised for their honesty, heart, and exploration of meaningful issues. But this year? He’s done being important. With Jiggle, Jiggle, Josh promises an hour of “dumb, happy, in no way important stand-up.”

“This year I just want to have fun,” says Josh. “Jiggle, jiggle.” Expect sharp wit, absurd observations, joyful chaos, and the unmistakable comedic voice that has made Josh Thomas one of the most distinctive performers of his generation.
