RiseUP TV is a documentary/travel journal TV reality show that has been gaining steam around the world since 2017. It is the brainchild of established music entrepreneur Mark Rosner.

RiseUP TV is introducing the world to the personalities, sights and sounds of artists of all genres and ages from Canada, the US, Mexico, Europe and Asia!

Imagine these artists touring together, going from city to city, performing and living together for one week! They are having their every move filmed for television, whether on the bus, at the hotel, or dealing with the unexpected ups and downs that occur while on tour in the current entertainment business!! The Aeolian Phoenix Sessions take centre stage… in the comfort of your own home. Every month we premier at least four productions recorded at Aeolian’s studios or in the artist’s home. The Aeolian Phoenix Sessions are intended to provide patrons with a cross-section of the music going experience. From classical to jazz, rock to country, and bluegrass to folk, the Sessions aim to bring music back into your home and heart. Interested in one show only? Trust us: you’ll like what you see. Try the Phoenix Sessions all month and experience a few productions that you might never have seen in person. Our goal was to reignite live music and get artists on stage, technicians behind the soundboard and our patrons on their feet listening to extraordinary talent in extraordinary times.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Membership to the Phoenix Sessions is $20 per month (automatically recurring) and you select the productions you wish to enjoy. Though membership renews automatically, patrons must validate their membership number every month to receive an access code for each new set of productions by email. This process is not automatic. Patrons will receive their first access code immediately upon registration. An access code is only good for one calendar month. Validation instructions are contained in the Membership tab on this page, in our weekly newsletter and in the monthly rollover announcement sent by the Aeolian Box Office. We do not have a multi-viewer pass. If you plan to safely watch with friends or family, please consider donating to further offset the costs associated with these productions. Tickets to individual productions are not available. Twelve years have passed since Béatrice Martin appeared in our lives as Cœur de pirate. Over this period of time, the singer-songwriter and pianist has sold over a million albums and earned several million fans who listen to her songs on repeat via streaming platforms. The mark she has made in the French-speaking pop world is indelible and undeniable. Looking back to her beginnings, it’s safe to say that when Béatrice Martin began performing alone at the piano, she rose like a tidal wave that swept over Montreal’s stagnating indie-rock scene. Bolstered by the success of her early concerts, she released a self-titled debut in September 2008, which went platinum in Canada and diamond in France. Bypassing the usual channels, she almost immediately made a name for herself on the other side of the Atlantic, a feat many famed Quebec artists took years to achieve. Parting with the piano in favour of a more playful pop sound, she followed up with Blonde (2011), a sophomore release that was also certified platinum in Canada and in France. In 2012, the album earned Béatrice the Félix awards for Pop Album of the Year and Female Performer of the Year. Her third album, a bilingual effort titled Roses (2015), reached gold status in Canada and in France, with over 200 000 copies sold worldwide. In 2016, Cœur de pirate earned the Félix award for English-Language Album of the Year, while also making her mark in English-speaking Canada with a JUNO nomination for the Fan Choice award. With a trail of sold-out shows to her credit in Canada, France, the United States, Mexico, England, Spain, Italy, and Germany, Cœur de pirate has established herself as a unifying voice and a safe bet on stages. Thus, she has been welcomed by the greatest Canadian and European festivals over the past decade, including Les Francofolies de la Rochelle, the Festival d’été de Québec, and Osheaga, to name only a few. After several years spent touring the world, a sense of creative urgency set in. As a result, En cas de tempête, ce jardin sera fermé was released in 2018, just in time to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Cœur de pirate’s career. In addition to touring internationally in support of the record, Cœur de pirate kicked off the 2019 edition of Les Francos de Montréal before hundreds of fans at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier, giving a standout show that marked the realization of a dream. As she continued to honour her busy touring schedule, she earned many stellar accolades along the way, including the Singer-Songwriter of the Year and Female Performer of the Year awards at the SOCAN and ADISQ ceremonies, respectively. In the public eye every week as a coach on Quebec’s reality talent show La Voix and a judge on France’s singing competition Nouvelle Star, Cœur de pirate increasingly aspires to use her platform to take stands on political and social issues. Her feminist stance is unequivocal in the song “T’es belle,” and the music video for the song—Béatrice’s debut as a director—delivers a frank blow to everyday sexism, clearly embracing the paradigm shift of our times. In the midst of what was already an eventful year, Cœur de pirate shook things up even more in 2020 when she took the reins of the record label that saw her rise to fame, renaming the company Bravo musique. In this brand-new role, Béatrice takes pride in spotlighting the talent that surrounds her, in all its wonderful complexity. She is also invested in mentoring young and emerging artists. In the spring of 2021, Cœur de pirate returned to her first love with Perséides, an album of new instrumental pieces where the piano reigns supreme. She is currently working on another full-length album, which is set to be released before the end of 2021.

London’s favourite party band, Swagger, has been packing dance floors since 2013 with their mix of pop, rock and country from the 70s, 80s, 90s and today. Hit songs combined with a high-energy show and fun crowd atmosphere earned the band a 2019 London Music Award for Best Cover Band, a 2017 London Music Award for Fan Favourite and nomination for Best Cover Band. In addition, MO has won back to back London Music Awards as Favourite Bass Player in 2017 & 2018 and Darla won for Favourite Vocalist in 2018!

Swagger has had the opportunity to perform at some fantastic events including: London Pride Festival, London Santa Clause Parade, WhiteOaks Park Canada Day Celebration, London Pride Parade, Victoria Park New Years Eve Party, not to mention countless clubs, festivals, parties, weddings, fundraisers and corporate events.

Plaskett’s songs are a perennial part of the national playlist, a fixture on “best of” lists, and the soundtrack to the lives of faithful fans across the country and around the world. Just like a mask—that so-called disguise which, in fact, often reveals something profound and otherwise secret about the individual who wears it—Mo’s upcoming release “Covers” offers a glimpse into the molecular musical composition of the artist interpreting them Kenney’s willingness to unflinchingly pursue her artistic impulses on her own terms has resulted in numerous accolades over the past decade, including a 2013 SOCAN Songwriting Prize for her song “Sucker,” a nomination for the 2016 Adult Alternative Album of the Year JUNO for In My Dreams, and too many East Coast Music Awards and Nova Scotia Music Awards to count. And despite the uncertainty of live music in 2020, the year will find Kenney exploring new and innovative ways to connect with her fans.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Mark is at home performing at the highest level in literally every musical genre. He is currently the resident Music Director for the Victoria Playhouse in Petrolia. As a performer, his critically acclaimed one-man shows, “Simply Grand” and most recently, “I Love A Piano” have played consistently to sold out audiences. The depth of his abilities as a tenor soloist and musician – (piano, keyboards, accordion, harmonica, guitar, trumpet) only enhances the depth of his abilities as a music director, arranger, conductor, opera vocal coach, and adjudicator. His uncanny ability to effortlessly adapt to different genres of music and styles, ranging from Broadway to classical to country to rock to jazz standards and everything in between, has afforded him the myriad of opportunities he has enjoyed throughout his career.

Mark has also performed as soloist with professional orchestras, both as a pianist, conductor and singer, and has performed great piano works, including Rachmaninoff’s 2nd piano concerto, Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, and Beethoven’s 1st Piano Concerto with professional orchestras. In addition, he has worked with major north American opera houses (San Francisco Opera, Pacific Opera Victoria, Calgary, City Opera) as vocal coach, conductor and repetiteur. He has recorded multiple CDs, including “Simply Grand” and his most recent work, “Reflections”.

Multiple Award winning singer/songwriter Sarah MacDougall is known for her poetic songs and passionate performances. Sarah mixes folk, pop, and rock elements into her infectious, often epic songs. Born in Sweden, now based in Canada, Swedish magazine Nöjesguiden declared her: “one of Sweden’s best singer/songwriters' and Rootstime Belgium described her as 'One of the greatest talents of our era”.

Sarah has played festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, Edmonton Folk Festival, Reeperbahn, and has shared the stage with artists such as Bruce Cockburn, Tallest Man on Earth, Buffy St. Marie, Passenger, and more.
Her most recent release, ‘All The Hours I Have Left To Tell You Anything’is a record about strength, identity, death, the breakdown of relationships, birth, and the ghosts we honor and carry throughout. It is Sarah’s fourth record. It was written in the midst of the death of her grandparents, the birth of her niece, and a break up. The nine songs are also influenced by the places that made her and changed her: the dark beauty of Scandinavia the vastness of the Canadian North .

‘All The Hours I Have Left To Tell You Anything’was produced, recorded and mixed by Montreal-based Marcus Paquin (Stars, The Barr Brothers, Timbre Timbre, Arcade Fire, The National), with additional production and recording by Rich Jaques (Lisa Loeb), Nygel Asselin (Half Moon Run), and Bill Lefler (Royal Wood).

The Aeolian Phoenix Sessions take centre stage... in the comfort of your own home. Every month we premier at least four productions recorded at Aeolian's studios or in the artist's home. The Aeolian Phoenix Sessions are intended to provide patrons with a cross-section of the music going experience. From classical to jazz, rock to country, and bluegrass to folk, the Sessions aim to bring music back into your home and heart. Interested in one show only? Trust us: you'll like what you see. Our goal was to reignite live music and get artists on stage, technicians behind the soundboard and our patrons on their feet listening to extraordinary talent in extraordinary times.

Terms and Conditions

Membership to the Phoenix Sessions is $20 per month (automatically recurring) and you select the productions you wish to enjoy. Though membership renews automatically, patrons must validate their membership number every month to receive an access code for each new set of productions by email. This process is not automatic. Patrons will receive their first access code immediately upon registration. An access code is only good for one calendar month. Validation instructions are contained in the Membership tab on this page, in our weekly newsletter and in the monthly rollover announcement sent by the Aeolian Box Office. We do not have a multi-viewer pass. If you plan to safely watch with friends or family, please consider donating to further offset the costs associated with these productions. Tickets to individual productions are not available. If you do not intend to subscribe for longer than one month, refunds will not be provided to patrons who forget to cancel their membership or who have not read the terms and conditions: membership renewal is automatic every 30 days. With the release of her debut EP, “Bittersweet Remedy”, Leanne Mayer has announced herself as a unique and exciting new voice in London, Ontario’s indie music scene.

The record features Leanne’s whimsical blend of jazz, blues, old school country, and pop folk. The five songs are a carnival of styles, from the sultry “See Through Lies” to the bouncing “Renegade” and melancholy “Whatever Will Be.”

Together, they represent the work of an artist who isn’t afraid to experiment, or to explore matters of the heart. Her raw, honest lyrics and soulful voice tell stories of loss and hope, coloured by just the right amount of world-weary wisdom and determination.

In fact, Leanne is currently nominated and has won a prestigious Forest City London Music Award in the Contemporary Singer/Songwriter category in 2019.

Her music has been featured nationally on CBC radio and is developing a dedicated following at her live shows (her EP release shows in London and her native Kirkland Lake, Ontario both sold out). She was a featured artist at London’s Home County Music & Art Festival in 2019, and opened for Cat Clyde on her North American Hunter’s Trance Tour.

After releasing two live-off-the floor singles in 2020 (“The Devil You Know and See Through Lies”) Leanne is currently working on her much anticipated full-length album with projected release in 2022.

Backed by a full band, London’s “lounge pop queen” is ready to take her career as far as it can go. As Leanne Mayer’s story continues to unfold, one thing is sure: Bittersweet Remedy is just the beginning!

Born in small town Port Elgin, Ontario, Brett picked up the guitar for the first time at the age of 23, setting course a musical voyage that would forge the future of this unsuspecting Canadian country-rock super talent. 

Brett, a modern day renaissance man, has traversed the globe as a professional musician, model, actor, artist, and firefighter.  Audiences and fans across North America have enjoyed his unique acoustic style, unmistakable raspy drawl and dynamic presence, having shared stages with such revered artist’s as Everclear, I Mother Earth, David Wilcox, Dallas Smith and Deric Ruttan to name a few.  Brett has written and recorded with members of Megadeath, Fuel, Alice Cooper and Kings X, has had original music chart on international mainstream radio, and has had success with original music licensing to international television and film (most notably ABC’s daytime hit soap opera “One Life To Live”

​But life is full of peaks and valleys, and Brett fell upon some dark and difficult times, losing his footing for those worlds in which he previously both thrived in and loved.  Crippled with addiction, depression, and anxiety, Brett stumbled aimlessly through life for many years, leaving dormant his passion and purpose for music, creation, and connection.

​In 2018, digging deeply, Brett began fully facing his demons and devices, committing to his self care, love and improvement.  Steadily shedding his shackles; sober, sound and fully supported by family, friends, fans and followers; Brett has re-emerged triumphantly into his life, recalibrating his mind and heart in the direction they were meant to travel - one towards harmony, freedom, and very importantly, music.

Excitedly exploding back in to the Canadian and International music scenes, in the spring of 2019, Brett released his bold and powerful 3 song EP “Better Everyday.”; a vulnerable collection of tales of love, leaves, liquor and loss.  Off of its heels,  in 2020 Brett released the poignant and important song "The Questions Burn" - a co-written song denoting the tragic story of a O.P.P. Officer and friend who had found his brother who had tragically taken his own life.
