Alex Pangman & her Alleycats

Alex Pangman grew up a couple of generations late to have sung with Benny Goodman but the vibrant vocalist is known as Canada's Sweetheart of Swing. The JUNO nominee and JAZZ.FM91 host possesses the requisite taste & talent to breathe new life into the sturdy songs of the 1930s when she sings with her Alleycats quintet.

While facets of Ella Fitzgerald and Bing Crosby can be found in Alex's zesty delivery, that crisp clear voice is unequivocally her own. A superb song stylist, Alex has a loyal fanbase from her critically acclaimed work and performances across Canada, having performed at Koerner Hall with John Pizzarelli, Massey Hall opening for Willie Nelson, at stages like the Reservoir Lounge, or playing for swing dancers everywhere.

Her Alleycats are crackerjack musicians who also love the musical style and bring it to life with their expertise. They are John MacLeod cornet, Peter Hill piano, Glenn Anderson drums, and Chris Banks bass.

The Arrogant Worms

The Arrogant Worms have spent over three decades making fun of a big dumb world. Their songs have been played on the radio, the internet, and in outer space (on the space shuttle Endeavour). The Worms began at Queen’s University in 1991 when some members of the student cabaret group, The Queen’s Players, started writing songs and sketches for the campus radio station CFRC. Soon the group became The Arrogant Worms (Chris Patterson, Mike McCormick, and Trevor Strong) who have since toured ceaselessly across Canada (and select other parts of the world), released 13 albums, and recorded with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Their song, The Last Saskatchewan Pirate, has been covered by bands such as Captain Tractor and The Longest Johns, and their Happy Happy birthday song is a viral sensation with over one hundred million views of the various fan videos on YouTube. More than thirty years after they began, The Arrogant Worms continue to provide tuneful and silly escapism for everyone who needs it.

Andrew Spice

Andrew Spice is a Toronto-based singer-songwriter. His OutMusic-nominated debut album, Pretty Demons (Dead Daisy/Outside, 2003), earned rave reviews: “so sensitive it will break your heart” (The Varsity); “profound, beyond-Thom Yorke melancholy…a genuine talent whose lyrics are carefully wrought poems” (NOW Magazine); “between the loopy highs of Tori Amos and the degraded depths of Trent Reznor…with the talent on display on this album, I can see Andrew Spice one day reaching their status” (Swerve); “Spice manages to put his finger on our collective hearts” (The Toronto Star).

Subsequently, Andrew’s path took an unusual turn: he earned his Ph.D. and became a clinical psychologist. Then, 20 years after his debut album and while continuing to practice psychology, inspiration struck again and he returned to music. Andrew’s new album, With Animals, was produced by 2-time JUNO nominee Matthew Barber and features Grammy nominee Drew Jurecka. Its first singles, High Park and Gentle Sentinel, have garnered praise from the likes of Wonderland (“one of Canada’s brightest talents”), House of Solo (“this multi-talented artist delves deep into the complexities of anger, grief, and healing”), and FAULT (“tender, articulate, and raw, his voice has not only returned - it’s more powerful than ever"), as well as radio play on CBC and WXPN-FM. Like his very first songs, Andrew’s new music is devastatingly vulnerable with a queer male voice and piano at its centre. On With Animals, he plants his flag again - not as a nostalgic return, but a vital reintroduction.

An Elvis Christmas

"An Elvis Christmas" Starring two award wining tribute artists, Matt Cage & Mat Shank. An Elvis Christmas a salute to Elvis' Christmas album which has sold more than twenty million copies, making it the best - selling Christmas album in United States, and on Planet Earth. That's no small feat, considering that holiday music spun by pop stars has become a genre unto itself in the ensuing decades. The arrival of winter at graceland was always a special time of the year for Elvis. It meant the holiday season was fast approaching and the anticipation of all the fun things the season would bring, including decorating for Christmas, opening Christmas presents with friends and family. Although his passion lay at the piano with fellow friends and musicians to sing classic traditional favorites and nod to his gospel roots. An Elvis Christmas salutes and pays tribute to these incredible songs.

Willow Switch

Willow Switch is a dark folk music duo that embodies the crossroads of tradition and subversion. The band consists of saw-player and guitarist Andra Zlatescu and banjo player Robin Henry. Together they call upon the spirits of the land to create ambient haunting harmonies and sing open the doorways to other realms.

Their debut album, released in October 2023, is a musical journey through the dark spiritual dirges that evoke a sense of foreboding, much like a cold fog billowing down a mountain. Willow Switch's melodies are equally eerie and captivating, luring listeners into the dark, uninhabited corners of the woodlands. Their sound has been called “doom-folk”, “heavy meadow”, “folk noir”, “the crossroads between Appalachian and Black Sabbath”. If you venture fearlessly into the secret heart of the forest you can find out for yourself.

At the core of Willow Switch's music lies a deep reverence for folkloric stories. They spin tales of civilization lost and reclaimed by nature, exploring themes of grief for old almost-forgotten pathways, and weaving those threads of memory into dreaming up new futures. Through their music, Willow Switch seeks to carve out a new path in the folk music landscape, reviving the traditions of the past and breathing new life into them.

Join Willow Switch on their musical journey as they bring their unique brand of haunting folk music to the world. Let their music transport you to another realm, where spirits roam free and the ancient stories of the land are waiting to be told.
