JUNO Award nominees, Rum Ragged, take a bold approach to the Folk music of their home: the Eastern Canadian island of Newfoundland. With a reverence for their roots and a contemporary edge, this young band is known as the finest performers of their great, living, musical tradition. Boasting bouzouki, fiddle, banjo, guitar, and button accordion, these champions of East Coast music enliven and enlighten audiences with their signature brand of Newfoundland Folk. Always honest, thought-provoking, and often humorous, it’s Rum Ragged’s live show that makes them a fast favourite with audiences. Since forming in 2016, they have maintained a rigorous tour schedule, performing on many of the world's premier Folk, Celtic, and Roots stages, all while managing to record five award-winning albums. The Steel City Rovers perform dynamic and expressive music that is a unique composite of traditional Celtic music and North American styles including bluegrass, folk and roots. Their original works touch on issues of love, loss, celebration and heritage and they also breathe life into newly-discovered instrumental melodies from as far back as centuries ago. Their sophisticated arrangements are inviting for the most casual listener but are rewarding for those who are well versed in the nuances of musical complexity. The Great Canadian Fiddle Show preserves and celebrates Canada’s rich musical heritage through traditional fiddling and step dancing. For four decades, Cape Breton-based family group the Barra MacNeils have been thrilling audiences of all ages, near and far, with their sparkling repertoire, vocals, instrumental prowess and vibrant showmanship.

The MacNeil siblings are widely regarded as one of the greatest live concert acts in the Celtic world. Hailing from Sydney Mines, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, the family group is deeply rooted in Celtic music, culture, dance, language and history. Their numerous critically acclaimed recordings have included their own original songs as well as tried and true standards, both instrumental and vocal.

Their live concert experience brings so much more to the stage than most live acts ever can. Multiple lead vocalists, beautiful sibling harmonies, top drawer instrumental prowess on a wide variety of acoustic, stringed, percussion and wind instruments blended with dancing, storytelling, Gaelic songs and a journey through an ancient culture; it is family entertainment at its highest level.

Steeped in Cape Breton tradition with strong Celtic roots and musical artistry, this diverse and talented family group continues to wow audiences around the world with their captivating vocals, harmonies and extraordinary musicianship.

Lennie Gallant, an acclaimed East Coast songwriter with sixteen albums and numerous awards, returns with Shelter From the Storms, his first English album in seven years. The album reflects on the turbulent times we live in while celebrating the human ability to navigate through hardship with community, love and laughter.

Gallant’s iconic song Peter’s Dream was inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, and one of his albums even traveled aboard the International Space Station, orbiting Earth 248 times—which Gallant jokes finally gave him “high rotation worldwide!” He has shared the stage with symphony orchestras and numerous artists, including Jimmy Buffett, who featured him as a guest vocalist and co-writer on his final album.

Lennie also performs with his partner, Patricia Richard, as the Francophone duo Sirène et Matelot. A celebrated humanitarian and storyteller, Gallant was appointed to the Order of Canada, where he was honored for songs described as “true slices of life delivered with a poet’s flair and a rugged emotional sensibility.”

Londoners who attended East Coast Kitchen Party at the Grand Theatre in 2023 will remember Ian Sherwood, who performed the lead role. Ian returns to London, this time, in concert at Aeolian Hall.

Guitar, saxophone, huge songwriting and a voice that won him a Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Singer, Ian Sherwood Brings The Light to every stage he stands on. A born story teller and a constant creator, his music dances the line between folk and pop. His live performances thrive on intimacy. Whether it's a theatre show or large festival stage, his persona is irresistible and completely destroys fourth walls.

When not touring the UK, US or all across Canada Sherwood produces for other artists as well as for theatre, film and television. He was named Best Male Artist of the Year by the International Acoustic Music Awards and was twice named the Music Nova Scotia Musician Of The Year. Bob Mersereau of CBC Radio, Fredericton described him as “... a natural performer who entertains as much with his wit and stories as with his songs.”

Join the Rhythm and Grace family band for an evening of vibrant Celtic and Gospel music at Aeolian Hall. Husband and wife, Alex and Miriam, and their nine children, ages 8-23, have shared fiddling, step dancing, and Gospel songs from Newfoundland to BC, and helped produce a children's television series. This is a fun and engaging concert for families, grandparents, and all who love Jesus. In addition to singing, fiddling, and dancing, the children play piano, Irish whistle, electric bass, and conga drums, and their dad backs them up on the guitar.

A number of the children have received noteworthy awards, including honourable mention and 2nd place overall at the Ontario Provincial Music Festival for piano, 3rd place overall for violin, and the Royal Conservatory of Music National Gold Medal for piano. Most of all, the family home is filled with music from morning till night with the children spending hours together every week composing and arranging music that will get your hands clapping, toes tapping, voices singing, and all of our hearts filled with hope!
